An Awareness Programme on JJ Act, POCSO, DAWN and Shiksha was organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Siaha, on 13th October 2026 at the DIET Saiha Auditorium. The programme was attended by the student-teachers of DIET Saiha.

The programme aimed to create awareness among the trainees about relevant laws, legal provisions, and initiatives concerning child protection, safety, rights, and education. It also provided an opportunity for the trainees to understand the importance of legal awareness and their role in promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The programme was informative and beneficial for the trainees, enhancing their awareness of legal issues and their responsibilities as future teachers in safeguarding children's rights and welfare.

The programme concluded with a positive response from the participants, reflecting the importance of such awareness initiatives in teacher education.
